Privacy Policy
1. Insitura Website
This website does not collect any personal data. There are no forms, no tracking, and no cookies. The hosting provider may store technically necessary information (e.g. IP address, browser type) in server log files. These data are not evaluated by us.
1.1 Analytics
We use “Umami” to analyze website traffic. Umami does not collect IP addresses and does not store any information on the user’s device (e.g. cookies). Usage data are processed exclusively in anonymized form, which means that no conclusions can be drawn about individual users. Umami is hosted on our own servers, ensuring that no data is transferred to third parties. Further information can be found in the Umami Analytics documentation: https://umami.is
2. Insitura Platform
The Insitura platform records actions taken by teachers and students and stores student responses to generate personalized feedback. To protect privacy, no personal data such as names, age, gender, or IP addresses is collected. Instead, all users are assigned a randomly generated ID via Switch, a trusted Swiss edu-ID provider (https://eduid.ch/), which ensures that the data cannot be traced back to individuals. Neither teachers, researchers, nor OpenAI have access to identifiable information. For features based on large language models (LLMs), the OpenAI API is used. To maintain anonymity, it is important that teachers avoid sharing personal or identifying information in their learning material (e.g. lecture scripts and slides) or interaction with the Insitura platform.
OpenAI stores chat inputs for up to 30 days solely for abuse monitoring; afterwards, the data is permanently deleted unless OpenAI is legally required to retain the logs for longer. The data is not used to train or improve OpenAI’s models. For more information, visit: https://platform.openai.com/docs/guides/your-data
